“Kelsey + Justin, this is amazing!  I didn’t cry at the wedding, but this did make me cry.  It is beautiful, and I love that you included the book with the lovely dinosaur story.  The reading makes a perfect soundtrack for the film.  Your work is amazing and I am so glad that we found you at Emily + Dean’s wedding.  I will not hesitate to recommend your services to others that are looking for a videographer for any reason, and if you ever need a reference from a past client, do not hesitate to ask.  I would be honored to provide one.” – Mother of the bride, upon seeing Helen + Andrew’s Tennison Weddings film

Life is full of stories.  Each of us has our own to tell, and that is what we love about the work we do: sharing the story of our couples in a way that is as unique as they are.  Helen and Andrew’s January 2018 celebration at the Perot Museum of Nature + Science in Dallas, Texas, was a night we’ll never forget, and we’re pretty sure their friends and family won’t either.  Who can forget a night spent dancing beneath dinosaurs?

Helen and Andrew met on a college choir trip to London over the New Year 2009 holiday. They spent their first date getting a little lost in London and nearly missing choir rehearsal and have been adventuring together ever since.  We are honored that their wedding was the first wedding of our 2018 Tennison Weddings season.

A wedding is a big event told in small details.  We love that Helen + Andrew chose to have a friend read Edward Monkton’s A Lovely Love Story, a sweet tale of a dinosaur and a “lovely, other dinosaur” and their life of growing old together.  It’s charming simplicity compliments Helen and Andrew perfectly, and helped set the stage for their reception beneath massive dinosaur skeletons!

The pure joy on the faces of Helen’s bridesmaids, the carefree dancing of the guests and the laughter of friends and family echoing as Andrew’s best man declares Helen “the female version of Andrew” defined Helen and Andrew’s day so perfectly.  We loved capturing the happiness of the youngest guests as they got hands-on with dinosaur bones and the contentment of Helen and Andrew as they wandered among their friends and family, and as they sought out a quiet moment on an orange bench in an empty hallway.

The enthusiastic cheers of Helen and Andrew’s loved ones as the night came to a close gave us chills.  Helen and Andrew are loved, and we loved witnessing that.  Congratulations Helen and Andrew!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness.

“Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs together.  For the sun is warm, and the world is a beautiful place.”

-Edward Monkton
